Our Amazon Wish List is an easy way to help support the work we do caring for our animals and wild birds of prey that come into the hospital. Most of the items on our Wish List are types of enrichment, which will be used by our falconers and keepers to directly improve the welfare of our animals.

What is enrichment?

Environmental enrichment is a term used to describe the provision of mental, physical and sensory stimulation to animals held in captivity, allowing them to display natural behaviours. With most of our animals being predatory, this usually takes the form of hiding their food in novel feeding puzzles, which encourages them to use their brains to work our how to get access to the tasty treats. Just like your pets at home, some of our animals are smarter than others, so they may require a more challenging puzzle than our more sedentary species.

How it works?

Click the link to view our full Amazon Wish List. You can read comments from the falconers and keepers explaining why each item will be useful. Once you have decided what you’d like to purchase, simply add it to your basket and checkout. Remember to check that you have selected Suffolk Owl Sanctuary as the delivery address. When given the option to “add gift options” please leave us a personalised gift message with your name and contact details, so we can send you a personal thank you for your purchases.
